Regions of Scotland Starter Kit 02 by Wijnhuis Uden A new Kit by Chris van der Voort of Wijnhuis Uden. If you want to know more about his shop go to: www.wijnhuisuden.nl The Kit from Chris contains: Macallan Fine Oak 10 years The Fine Oak line of Macallan single malts have been matured in both traditional European oak sherry casks and the very popular American oak bourbon casks, before being married together. Glenkinchie 10 years A general impression of a pleasant whisky. The typical character of a Lowland whisky (freshness and cut grass) is not detected immediately. A good whisky, no more no less. It is famous because it belongs to the "Classic Malts" collection. Clynelisch 14 years What a wonderful whiwky!!. This is one of my best surprises. Being a lover of Islay whiskies, the malt from Northern Highlands really astonished me. A perfect balance between peat and rare spices malt. This great successor of the dead Brora distillery is far most one of the best whiskies I ever tasted. Its quality-price ratio is very good. I really recommand it. A must for each good whisky collection. Highland Park 12 years The nose reveals immediately the exceptional class of this great malt. Balance and complexity associated to a great aromatic richness characterize the whisky of the most Northern of all Scotland's distilleries. A light smell of iodinated smoke associated to grilled malt hints emphasizes the exceptional character of this single malt. The taste is even pleasant. The only negative point is that the pleasure disappears quickly, due to a too short finish. The affordable price makes it a good quality-price ratio. Talisker 10 years Another beautifully malt from the Isles. Without the predominance of the smoke as Islay whisky use to be marked by, this whisky form the Isle of Skye has conserved the marine and peaty character. A great pleasure from the very first contact. The nose detects a marine freshness, and the palate confirms this. A great complexity of fragrances makes it an exceptional malt. The finish is too short. Ardbeg 10 years At full strength, the aroma is a beguiling mix of toffee and chocolate sweetness, cinnamon spice and medicinal phenols A great Whisky.
